Abstract

The article analyses Swedish migration policy concentrating on questions of the labour market situation among immigrants and discusses current economic research on this issue. The author describes the flows of immigrants to Sweden and the composition of the immigrant population at the end of the 90s and the changed labour market situation of various groups. A special emphasis is made on social integration of migrants coming from the countries outside Scandinavia.
