Abstract

This study provides an insight into what it is like to be a student with additional needs in higher education. Based on in-depth research around a small number of students in differing situations, the findings identify a number of areas, and dilemmas, institutions should consider in order to give students with special needs, declared or undeclared, an equal opportunity to make the most of higher education. In this paper the authors highlight and discuss some aspects of disabled students current experience.
