Some Specifics of Social Work Education in Nijmegen

Abstract

The paper considers a concept of experiential learning following D.A.Kolb model and its applications in social work education of the professional university of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. The author who has long teaching experience discusses this approach to the organization of professional training of social workers that has become widespread in the Netherlands recently. Attention is paid to different phases of experiential learning cycle, creativity and creative subjects in social work curriculum, close relations with field work, quality care and problem based learning.
