Know-how in the youth policy: necessary transformations or risky experiment?

Abstract

The article is about youth policy issues, which become more important due to a big public discussion in mass media and increased attention towards so called «youth activism». Using the empirical data collected in Ulianovsk region the author attempts not only to present a sociological analysis of a current situation, but also its consideration by the key actors among the regional administration. The article critically considers the State strategy of youth policy and new approaches in working with youth. The author formulates her own vision of the resources of competent youth policy.
